How to Get to Myra Ancient City

Myra Ancient City is located in the Demre district of Antalya, approximately 145 kilometers from the city center. There are several transportation options to reach the site:

 

By Private Vehicle
From Antalya, follow the D400 highway through Kemer and Finike to reach Demre. Once you arrive in Demre town center, follow the signs to Myra Ancient City—it’s just about 2 kilometers away.

 

By Public Transport
You can take a bus or minibus from Antalya Intercity Bus Terminal (Otogar) heading toward Demre or Kaş. After arriving at the Demre Bus Station, you can reach Myra by taxi or local minibus.

 

From Antalya Airport
The closest airport is Antalya Airport (AYT). From there, you can use shuttle services, long-distance buses, or private transfers heading toward Demre to reach the ancient city.

 

Travel Tip
During the summer season, buses to Demre run more frequently. In the winter months, schedules may be limited, so it's a good idea to plan your trip in advance.
